The Recovery Advocate / Case Management Program
Our recovery advocate program (case management) provides treatment facilities with a resource to maintain contact with individuals and support their recovery long after they have left treatment. Recovery advocates help ensure that the tools learned in treatment are remembered and used in daily life. Breathalyzers and drug tests are ordered, keeping individuals accountable and family members from worrying or “snoopervising.” Not only does this provide necessary, but it allows for treatment centers to have greater efficacy beyond traditional 30, 60 and 90-day programs.
Recovery advocates work with the family system. Recovery advocates do the difficult work of talking to individuals and their worried families, reducing miscommunication. As recovery advocates work closely to monitor an individual’s recovery plan, they become a professional and knowledgeable source of data useful for treatment center goals.
